Use UNESCO for cultural context only. 5-12 min - Board setup Each player has nine pits and a store. For a standard start, place nine stones in each pit. Before tournament use, check the current official rules from the organizer or federation. 12-25 min - Sowing exercise Choose one pit, sow one stone at a time, and predict where the last stone lands. Use this as arithmetic/counting practice, not as a claim of proven learning outcomes. 25-35 min - Capture and tuzdyk awareness Discuss even capture and why a special pit can change planning. Keep advanced restrictions visible so students do not learn an oversimplified version. 35-45 min - Mini game and reflection Pairs play a short sequence, then explain one move with start pit, final pit, capture/no-capture, and one next risk.
